I change less than 10% of my water, between 5 and 7.5 gallons on my 80 gallon about every ten days. FYI

Do you always have water already made up craig? Or do you mix up 5 to 7.5 gals every 10 days also? whats your favorite brand of salt mix to use? If you saw the reef stores in vermont you would cry(they suck)!! I went to a store close to home and the had a sexy shrimp there. I thought it was cool so I came home and looked it up. What I found was they do best kept in groups of three or more and prefer to live on an anomone or a coral of some sort. but the poor thing was all alone in an empty tank just sittin on the substrate. When I went back, I asked if they had sold it they said they hadn't seen it since they put that butterfly fish in there with it hum I wonder where it went hmmm??

    Hey guys thanks,
after the first water change nitrate was down to 5 and now after a smaller change it's down to 2.75 witch I belive to be fine I don't know what happened there I tested the distilled water and it tested 0 for nitrates I recently added 10lbs of live sand I'm starting to think that may of had something to do with it!!

One question that hasn't been asked is, how long did you let your salt mix with the distilled water? BTW, most distilling is done in copper...I don't know what level it contains, but it should contain some.
