    Was wondering if anyone knew what this stuff was? At first thought pineapple sponge. But its like goopy. So its not a sponge.

    Idk about that. There not spongey. They are more goopy.

    It could also be small pieces of "biomass" made up of bacteria and detritus clumped together.. or it could be sponges.

    Yes that is a good thing!

    The "stuff" that comes off of an ecoBAK reactor is basically "planktonic bacteria" and is a great food source for any number of microorganisms. We even have some hobbyists who run ecoBAK effluent into their fuge to grow critters, pods and sponge...
