Can Brook survive in a reef tank on snails, corals and live rock? I am now completely fishless and will be starting my 8-10 week period of no fish, but wanted to make sure I am not wasting my time if this parasite can survive in a reef tank.

I did some looking around and didn't find anything specifically on inverts being able to carry brookynella. However, the recommendations are to leave the tank fallow for 8 weeks meaning no fish.

Just need to go fishless. I kept all snails and cleaner shrimp in fallow tank for 9 weeks. Introduced fish back in several months ago and all is good. I have not lost a new fish or seen any signs since. I will tell you though I will never go again without QTing fish for at least 6 weeks again. I will bet that those who do not QT have never experienced Brooke.
