Trouble with my LPS corals

    I believe it may be my alk. I believe I raised it to fast. But today I will start a log on my tank. It's only 7 months old, but I will start a log and start test for mag as well.

    Too many changes in a short period of time and new light can be another stress, just check alkalinity- if problem - check Mg. Corals like storm but the same water, flow and light after that

    I agree, I will get my prime in a few weeks. I did a 20% water change today with water already mixed from my lfs. I logged the water before I put it in and then logged it after. I also moved the candy cane higher up in my tank. I know that they prefer the bottom half, but maybe this one may like a little more light seeing how I am still running stock lighting. We will see. But all in all the hammer and what's left of my frogspawn seem happier already. But I will leave it all alone.

    Well just an update, I changed my water (20%) and moved my candy cane. All my LPS coral look 100% better. Now if I can only get rid of my peppermint shrimp, it keeps pestering my hammer

    Nothing gets rid of peppermint shrimp like a snowflake eel!!! ;)

    Lol, I hear that. But I have a 29G tank. A little to small.

    Well lucky for you it will most likely jump out soon after eating your shrimp anyhow haha.
