Trimming Xenia w/ SPS

    I have some Xenia that is growing very close to my Birdsnest and i want to trim the Xenia back. Should i be concerned about the Xenia releasing anything into the water column that might harm my SPS? I have just changed my carbon out thinking it would help trap anything bad in the water. Id like to completely get rid of the Xenia. Ive heard that Kalk paste works. I might give this a try once i cut the Xenia down to the rock.
    Any thoughts.

    i dont think you should be concerned. Ive never heard of an xenia doing harm. try pealing it off with your finger nail. Thats what i do. Anything left doesnt live.
