    Toadstool-probably 4 years in tank decided to move up a rock-is this normal-

    Yes. Mushrooms and many leathers can and will move to find better lighting or flow. Your Toadstool has excellent PE, indicating a generally happy, healthy specimen- he's just trying to tweak his current conditions. I would suggest allowing him to move at his own pace. If he loses a part of his foot, he will heal fairly quickly in a clean tank. The part that's left behind will usually sprout a new coral. :cool::D
