Make sure that you place every coral, whether soft. LPS, or SPS, in the most comfortable place.
LPS require lower flow and lower light.
SPS require higher lighting and flow.
Soft are somewhere on the spectrum between SPS and LPS.

Use a hemostat to grab unwanted crabs and bristle worms. Once they grab they will not let go like tweezers if you ease off the pressure. You can get hemostats in the fly-fishing section of any sporting goods store.

Reef tanks are like cars: the faster you go, the harder you crash.

Sometimes, bad things happen in our tanks. Instead of dwelling on the negative, use it as a learning experience.

When ordering online, it is often better to buy many things at once to avoid the high shipping costs.

None of the inhabitants of our tanks ever intended on being in a tank, so the least we can do is try to make it as comfortable as possible for them

Every day I learn something new. It's not always from the person who has been in the hobby the longest. Often its a reminder from someone fresh and eagerly learning.

When in a community online don't be a "know it all". Nobody likes a "know it all"
