The Salifert has both (meq and dKH) in the reference table EDIT - and is more granular/accurate. GET IT. Back to thread! :)

    1. In my dads tank im using Brightwell 2 part and its supposed to balanced and all so i guess our tank is a little weird or something haha... cal 10ml, alk 15ml.
    2. total water volume is 60g
    3. mag is held at 1400 by monthly w/c (brightwell salt is amazing)
    4. coral load for this size of tank is medium, mostly sps and few lps. Frags/mini colonies are growing well but are not the size of colonies im used to in the PSU tank lol!
    5. alk 11, ca 450 but slowly lowers to 430 (level depends on how long i go between mag replenishments)

I dose 300ml each of BRS 2 part a day in my 112 gallon system and about 120ml a week of MG. The majority of corals are SPS and I would say I have a heavy load.. I aim for 10 dKH, 400 CA and 1320 MG.

    1) How much you are dosing of each (mL) a day to keep you aquarium stable.

I dose 15ml of Alk, Mag, and CA all b-ionic brand

    2) The total water volume (gal) of your aquarium.

105g total volume. 75g DT and 30g sump

    3) Your magnesium (ppm) and dosing rate.

    15ml as stated above.

    4) Coral load (light, med, heavy) and type majority (LPS, SPS, etc).

mainly sps and chalices but have large colonies of lps and tons of pulsing xenia and some zoa's

    5) Target values of alkalinity and calcium you are shooting for.

    I maintain 420ppm CA 9.8dkh and 1350ppm MG.

EDIT - OPTIONAL: How did you determine your daily consumption rate?

a very long 1 month of testing every day. I originally calculated 10ml of ca and alk and 30 ml of mg but i raised my mg to 1350 and now only have to dose 15ml of alk and ca and mg. I believe if you find that magic balance between the three, you will dose less. less precipitation = less ca and alk wasted.

also, +1 for salifert kits. they are the easiest to read imo. i couldn't stand comparing the color of a liquid to the color on a card. drove me crazy.

For my 90g DT and 30g sump (about 80g water in total) with heavy SPS and clam load, I dose the following daily:
    100ml BRS calcium (recipe 1)
    100ml BRS alkalinity (recipe 1)

In terms of Mg, I dose 300 ml every 3 weeks or so

Thinking of switching to kalk dosing (automated), since the daily dosing of 2 part is getting irritating (and I don't want the expense of a reactor).

I do kalk through my ATO, it helps but can't keep up, I still need to dose ESV. I feel ya on the irritation. You want to know irritating? I had a top-shelf calcium reactor on my last tank by Precision Marine, Reef Fanatic Solenoid and pH controller... and I sold the whole deal for about $300 when I broke my last tank down. Now I want the same setup again. Spending money twice. Joy. :p

    Anyway, back to thread...
Thanks for the feedback all. Please keep it coming. This is a very helpful thread. 8)

I found this old thread and I'm still interested in the results. I dose 34ml of each in about 60g of water. My tank is sps dominated, but light and mostly frags growing in right now. I aim at 450 ppm cal and 180 ppm alkalinity.

What would be really interesting would be a look at the kind of growth people at the low end and people at the high end have gotten. Pics with numbers would be sweet!
