Update..... I just went to my LFS to pick up a Cu tester and I brought some water as well to have tested. There's no sign of copper in my water????? I have a 10gal QT tank set up. I bought a small bottle of Cupramine by Seachem. Directions said to use 2 drops per gallon. I did the math and that equated to 20 drops. I just added 10 more.

edit: The initial 20 drops were added last night around 8pm

this is totally a guess that the live rock absorbed it?

+1 As Cherly noted, Live Rock should not be used when dosing copper. Also, I had the same experience when I dosed in my 10 gallon. It took a few days to get up to 0.5. Make sure you keep it at 0.5 for 14 days.

I was thinking the same thing.. Ill pull it out today, great I just lost three pieces of LR!!! Other then the LR all I have is a small amount of live sand from original tank. Also a piece of blue/white filter media in my HOB. Only reason I put the LR in there was so she had a place for shelter.

Use PVC or even freshwater decorations for it to hide in.

***? Now my clownfish is looking funny. He has parked himself in the front corner of my tank and appears to have a whitish haze beginning to form all over him? If this is Ich as well can I put him in the QT tank with my Powder Brown?

I've never had any of these issues when I had my 55gal upright with a simple HOB filter. Now I have a 75 with a sump, skimmer and WHAMMO.. I don't get it:angry:

For a reason why you are having issues with fish health, it is likely from the stress from moving. It is likely that your fish had the diseases, but did not show any signs before the move.

I never noticed anything on them before. What stinks is I'm about to move in a month to a new house.. I'm thinking about giving most my fish to my LFS for store credit and let the tank run with LR and the few corals I have for a while. I'm also close to draining it and putting a bearded dragon in there!

Update: She's been in QT for two full weeks now and she looks GREAT! Although I'm getting my ass kicked with that Brooklynella outbreak in my tank. I'm down four fish from that nasty parasite. At this rate the Powder Brown will have the entire 75 to herself once she gets out of QT.

Glad to hear that the Powder Brown is doing good! Hopefully you get through Brooklynella in your DT...
