In your neck of the woods. Boca Raton. Barrier Reef. Everyone else wants at least $750, many want upwards of $800 for that chiller. I also got my drilled 90G at Barrier Reef for $219, plumbing kit included. They've always done me right, which is why I continue to shop there.

The one in the display tank right at the front door? If so, I know just the coral to which you're referring!

Funny. Pauline is the one who sold it to me. She was the only one working at the time. There didn't seem to be a single man in the shop. I didn't let her drag it to the register from the back.

She asked, "Do you need help out to your car with that?" I said, "Yeah, but I'm not going to let you do it!"

I think I pulled something, actually. It was only 10 days after my cardiac catheterization. But I'm fine. I'm back running in the mornings.

I have never put a stop watch on mine, but you have a pretty big chiller. I only have a1/10 hp and it does not run that much. Before it used to run all the time, but things were a lot different then and I was at 78. Well even then, it only ran when the lights were on.

You have plenty of cooling. It takes two hours to heat your tank 2 degrees with lights. Look at it that way.

When you say ". . in front to draw the hot air away" do you mean mounting to the exterior of the chiller, or inside the chiller, blowing the air outwards? Also, when you say using 2 fans, in which direction do they face; and again are you talking about mounting the fans inside or outside the chiller?

    Thanks.

Our chiller puls from the front and exhaust in the rear. Any added fans to help that out. I think the fans are a good addition to help the chiller, but your chiller is so big I do not think you will see a difference. As long as say the hot are does not just sit in the corner and keeps the heat local to your chiller. as long as air is moving, I don't think it will be needed for you.

I think it is just a good discussion to have though. That a chiller does not just sit there and cool. The tank heats it and that heat needs to go somewhere. So it just needs to be kept in mind that the chiller needs good air flow through it and around it to disipate heat. My closet being a good example of what not to do. A couple of fans moving hot air through it in a hot closet won't help much.
