The UV LEDs are approx. 400 nanometers, they are 2 watt x-series Cree's. They are definitely great at making coral pigmentation fluoresce. During testing, we've noticed a faster growth rate within most corals.

Thanks for the interest. Have a nice weekend. We'll be back open on Monday, and we can answer more questions then should you have any...

Sure, send us your list of detailed questions to [email protected], and we'll have those to you by Monday.

Also, let us know which LED Light you are referring to, i.e. the PAR38 or 72 Watt X-Series.

    Best,
    Team OCReef.com

... maybe I should change the name of the light to Dark Invader Cree X-Series. Then I could use some of Darth Vader's famous quotes, like "The force is strong with this one", or "You don't know the power of the dark side!" lol

speaking of Darth Vader, what happened to my comment that I made about the Wrasse on Marine Engineers? Did it magically disappear into a make-believe land, like Star Wars? Your answer will ultimately determine my opinion about you, and about the caliber and integrity that you have for your company. It will also determine if I will ever pay for advertising, from a company like yours...

WOW! That's some high expectations. The answer is pretty simple though. That article was originally posted here on 3Reef, and being good friends with Matt, I decided that it should stay exclusive to its original location. It was an awesome article that I would have loved to have on the blog, but keeping your friends close is more important than that. Your comment was just in the wrong place at the wrong time lol.
