If they are that strong, could you hang them higher or maybe cut down the lighting period. They are probably in shock and its going to take some time before they get their color back.

I have cut the lighting period. I don't think its that they are that strong. I cut my light period from 10 hours of daylight to 5 for a couple days, then up to 6 and the last 2 days was at 7 and still no change. I really think the corals are not getting enough light. I don't know if its the refraction from the water or the fact that the unit is too high off the tank for the spread of the optics. Either way, my corals are not happy.

I do not, I can take some but it will be tomorrow before I get a chance to as I am working today. It is a very nice light, excellent construction, just not making my corals happy at all.

Try using it in conjunction with your existing light scheme. Also allow your corals a period of time to adjust...

    Forgot to mention...

make sure to feed your corals with a quality plankton type food. Also, if you are an experienced hobbyists, you may think about running a CO2 system, this will definitely help your corals to thrive.

I think I am experienced enough to know how how to take care of my corals. Please do not insult my intelligence. I would like to return this light.

For the record, at 5 hours a day my frog spawn barely extended, at 6 it extended very little more, and at 7 there has been no change. This is a coral that, after some initial problems with a peppermint shrimp, has thrived in my system. Now it is showing its skeleton and looks like it does when the lights first come on all day.

As I said, it is a high quality light, just not a stand alone system in my mind as it was sold to me in this thread. I will not use it in conjunction with my T5s because that defeats the purpose.

Who's insulting your intelligence? This is a forum, a place of chat... ?

If you're going to speak your mind, then so are we...

We informed you days ago that you could return it...
