Now matt...see that is something I don't understand. Who would put that much money and effort into a Kia? ;)

I don't understand it either, although kia(it's not a tuning company) makes it, I think they are doing a bunch of super hero special editions....I would never pay that much for a kia with a stupid grill and paint job. I like Brz's for a affordable sports car, they are supposed to drive very well even though they have weak motors. I dont like the FRs mostly because scion has a punk image in my opinion

Finding a BRZ (manual) is the problem. I've talked with a few Subaru reps about upping production next year (with an STi version hopefully!), but all said they doubted numbers would go up. I drove the FRS and it drove okay, sporty, but the seats are horrendous!!! The motors are underpowered, but that's how they keep costs down. Turbo kits should be available shortly, if not already.

Subaru announced that they are producing a turbo model BRZ that will be boasting around 280 HP. Still a bit weak but I can imagine it would be fun to drive. I wouldnt want to drive anything with a boxer motor that isnt boosted. My buddy has an STI pushing 450HP at the wheels. After being in that beast I wouldnt want too much less from a Subaru motor. lol Plus the boxers sound so incredible.

[IMG] this will probably be my car for a few years or we may restore a Mercedes Benz 280se 4.5. Yeah I also read Subaru is indeed making some sort of turbo model. I also read the Brz had much better seats than the FRS. Even though the motors are weak, I like the way they went with a boxer, keeping the center of gravity down.Unfortunately I wouldn't get a manual because most of the driving I would be doing is highway :(. Actually a Mustang V6 isn't half bad of a deal when you consider it has slightly over 300hp.

Mustangs are a great value...but I'd never buy one. ;) Restoring a car is in my plans as well...as soon as I find the right '72 Vette. ;D

    I don't understand this statement.

The MB that we would restore is my grandmother's. My dad drove it in college, he also had a Austin Healey 3000 for a few years but, my uncle totaled it :p He drove a Bmw E21 for a little while but, had to get rid of it because it would overheat with our hot climate. I prefer mustangs over Camaros......I see too many Camaros, to own one. We had a new Volvo s60 as a loaner and that turbo 5 actually has a ton of pep,(also made a bit of a growl which I'm not used to from a volvo). Although 5 cylinders are known to make interesting sounds. I wish volvos weren't so feminine.

I may be commuting everyday to school next year so I don't want a manual.
