White to light grey with a bit of black to dark grey in the middle. What are some causes of RTN? I really cant think of anything that has changed.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
SteveWright once made me feel a little better about a case of RTN when I lost a milli I had been growing for a year.

He posted that you take corals from all over the world, different tanks, all these variables and sometimes it's going to happen, it's basically a crap shoot. You are going to loose some regardless of your best efforts. Something along those lines.

Many causes of RTN, from parameter swings, parameter issues, pathogens both bacterial and viral. Little things like coral in the path of the top off feed or auto dosing.

Consider fragging it if it continues.

Will do, It was a maricultured coral, so maybe that plays into it. I'm just curious as to why my less hardy corals werent affected at all, mainly acroporas or even my clam. Would an Iodine dip hurt?

I have had a hard time in general with maricultured colonies.

looks like RTN to me. that front part that looks like greenish tint to it indicated that it has been dead on that part for a while. i have lost 4 millie colonies because of alk swing. lost all 4 colonies by RTN overnight.

Well i fragged it last night, no signs of RTN on the frags, but half the coral has perished. My tank is running out of room with all the frags.
