To get rid of the allergy I recommend zyrtec. As far as the cyano goes, Mr. Bill is spot on. I've been battling a bit myself and its almost gone. I was adding phosphates through LFS R/O water so I switched to distilled and what a difference. I syphon out the cyano I see when I do my water change every week. My phosphates have dropped from .008 to .002 in less than 3 weeks so switching water made a difference. I don't run any phosphate media. Every time I do a water change less cyano grows back so be patient.

OP- I do hope you get your cyano under control- been there, done that

OFK- I'm glad you like your too. And I admit pulsing xenia is beautiful.
In the OP's picture sure looks like xenia's to me in the bottom of the pic.

I was kinda referring to reefers who have had it completely overrun their DT's, and read posts about using certain chemicals to eradicate it and their results.

IMO- nearly an y softy can eventually take over things.
That's why I gave away 2 large colonies of Palys.
I still have green strped mushrooms that seem to grow up everywhere,
An encrusting gorgonean that has really completely covered several large rocks, and my GSP that I keep in check- by giving whatever I can away whenever I can, isolating things, etc.

They are gone. I removed them and turned the center chamber into a fuge.

:) I eventually placed a 10g beneath my biocube and have a pvc diy overflow from a post mobile on 3reef did a few years back.. it was the best move i ever did for my biocube.

how much do you feed, and what. i know i overfeed and it can lead to bristleworm populations and some cyano here and there... although ive never had that much cyano, just GHA the cyano seems to die off, or i just remove it manually during water changes, and its only in my refugium on the top layers of my chaeto ball

It's going to take some time, nothing good happens quickly.
