I grabbed some Kent Tech CB A & B to just bring the levels up for the time being since it was cheap and easy to get from my LFS, but I'm going to look for a longer term solution.

I hate manual dosing because I am often away for a few days at a time, so I need something automated that won't break the bank.

well the only thing I know that works without worry in a cal reactor and that cost a little bit of cash but in a 29g just putting in by hand is I think best

If you are willing to do the set up, you can use dosing pumps and timers. BRS has some videos on them.

BRS dosing pumps are relatively inexpensive, especially if you get them on sale or a group buy. You just need those, two timers, calcium, and baking soda.
