After my downgrade 10 months ago I run SPS dominated 40 gal. Breeder. All corals doing good but recently I'm little concerned. Green Monti and now I can say the same about Purple Haze they both have the same weird discoloration. Older, center part color kind of faded but edges and new grows are bright. Doy you guys have any idea what could cause that? Like I said, older part color is not as bright and looks fade but new grows are nice colored and bright. I will post pics tomorrow if that could help. Salinity 0.026 PH 8.1 Mg 1500 Alk 8.5 Cal 450 Phosfate 0.01 Nitrate 4

Please post lighting type? :) and schedule. Looks like algae is trying to take hold in the 1st image.

Hi. Sorry for a delay. I upgraded my lights 6 weeks ago but seams like process started before. Previously I had cheap LED Boxes. Now I have 2 - 26 AI Hydra HD LED. 7 hours pick with 60% 2 different Blues and 25% Whites, 15% Red. 1 hour Ramp time as Sunrise and Sunset. Other SPS doing good. I'm posting few pic's of my tank so you guys have an idea. Sorry for dirty glass. Thank you for future advice's.

Check for montipora eating nudis, IME that is what it starts to look like, if it is that and you catch it early you can save yourself a lot of grief and headache.

Algae doesn't grow on live coral, it's sprouting up in places that have died.

I looked. I didn't deal to much with pest's over many years of reefing ( I guess I was lucky). I couldn't see any which doesn't mean they are not there...
