Failed Pump

So I woke up and find out that my Jebao DCT 8000 return pump failed I have a 40 gal. Breeder mostly SPS. Temp dropped to 74. Usually it is between 76-78 so I hope my SPS will be still ok. I run circulation pumps and moved heater from sump to tank. I also add another heater. I hope I bought it on time. Anyway it is 6 months old pump. Not sure about warranty but I think I bought it on Amazon so I'm not sure. I have to look for receipt. Just don't want to start up. I run that pump on lower speed. There is like 10 speed lights so I usually have them on 3 so now after i turn it on those 3 lights blinks and 2 on the other end together…. frustrated it is 6 months old and failed…. Did that happened to any of you guys? Thanks for all future advice…

 

Try removing and cleaning it. I run mag drives and they lock up from time to time

 

I don't have that pump but I'm certain its happened to others as well

Definitely try cleaning it out. Those suckers get clogged up quickly and either run poorly or stop running if not cleaned.

I now clean my pumps and powerheads monthly, noticed my flow wasn't as good and it was because of all the crap building up in the pumps/powerheads

If it doesn't help, I would contact the manufacturer, its only 6 mnths old

 

The power supplies and controllers are notorious for kicking the bucket. Contact your seller and they should warranty any bad components
