My fish are not dying, didn't have a single death yet (thank god). It is the overall condition of corals that is declining. I no longer have any zoas, most hammers died and I can't remember seeing frogspawn open. I'll show you what I mean... This is what my tank looked like of what my looked like... And live rocks used to look more purple then almost black.

If you are sure on the ammonia test, that's a problem. Especially in the presence of high pH. Ammonia becomes NH3 at higher pH. NH3 is more toxic than NH4.

Just want to say good move on the ro/di. Going from 42ppm to 0 has to be good for something. After a few water changes hang tight

Yep, at one point it was double THAT size. I actually thought it would overgrow my tank. Now it barely opens up.

I'll double check all parameters later tonight. But if you all agree the problem was bad water quality, this should eventually fix it.

Ammonia is down to either 0 or .25, extremely hard to tell a difference from an API test, i will probably get Red Sea Ammonia test. All other parameters are fine. However frogspawn, whatever remaining zoas and mushrooms are all still closed. For some reason, my skimmer is skimming a lot, 20% of the cup is filled with coffee like stuff over 24 hours. I will perform another water change tomorrow, but am not sure what else i should be doing...

Is the algae fuzzy or hairy? Does it come off easily, or is it tightly attached to the rocks?
