dont get me wrong it is much like an internet of its own, with good info.... but damn you need to really dig deep and filter some of the stuff you read....

once in a while you get some solid info but im guessing since so many people are signed up to this forum it awlays seems to appear on google searches. its happend to me time and time again to start reading some posts and literlly cringe at whats written....

hope im not being the only "judgmental prick" here....

They do have plenty of good information, a lot of people on those forums are chemists or people with exceptional experience in their "focus" area. Such as randy Farley with chemistry, John coppliono with Angels, and some other members with sps. I'm not a member of that site but I do appreciate some of the info, especially the scientific data that isn't always available here. However, there is plenty of bashing and such over there.

I usually already Google pretty specific stuff, I'll skim the threads looking for certain members to post.

Straight up, another mod will probably close this thread.

I have two forums I frequent, so that leaves one other and it's not RC.

Many experts in the field can be found on a couple other forums now.

As with any large/humongous/gargantuan forum you're going to have to weed through what is relevant to you and your needs and disregard the rest. I am sure it's no easy task being a moderator on ReefCentral, so they get my respect.

Always look at Randy Holmes-Farley for chem. Humblefish or Dr.LeeBacca for diesase, Hunter (evolved) for Wrasses,.......there are so many many more. I can waste an entire day off just reading their stuff.

I go over there and look for Holmes-Farley as well. It is good to know other good names to look for over there.

It is dissappointing not being able to see pictures over there. It is ridiculous to me to create an account there when i only look for a couple people's posts.
