Hello all! Want to get some opinions before I place an order today. Should I buy the the 24 cree ultra premium kit with 6"x20" heatsink and typhon controller? Or should I get the reef breeders bridgelux value setup? This will be for a 29gallon tank sps lps dominant thanks everyone greatly!

Assuming that you have a little soldering experience... or know someone who does... the CREE is hands down my favorite.

These kits are very simple to assemble.

For the record: I do own both, and both work very well.

I have no experience with the Reef Breeders fixtures, but they seem to be getting great feedback.

I went with the DIY cree option and am very happy. I just ordered everything to build my second fixture since I upgraded my tank. The great thing with DIY is you can customize to your liking and repairs/replacement/upgrades can be done anytime on your own. I recently got rid of all my low quality colored LEDs and replaced them with LEDs from Rapid. The build itself is very straightforward and there are plenty of people and threads on here to help you out.

You also said you are ordering today, which is nice because Rapid has 20% off storewide right now.
