The recipe in the link calls for 2.5% Iodine and 45% alcohol. The only iodine I could find is a 2% iodine and 47% alcohol. Will this be okay as well? I assume it will its just a milder form. Thanks

That should be fine. You can add a few extra drops to the water if you wish.

Bill this particular Iodine is 2% iodine, 2.4% sodium iodide, and 47% alcohol. I forgot the sodium iodide. This stuff still okay?

Also, the acro I am getting is a smooth skin bright blue and green acro. Ive heard they do not fair well in dips. Any advice on this? Id rather not start this out on the wrong note. Thanks

Not sure on how I feel about making this stuff so I may just go with the Seachem Reef Dip. Im hoping it was just one isolated bad incident.

I haven't had any issues with smooth skins and dips.

That being said, I do know some don't do well with certain dips. ORA Hawkins (A. turaki) dies if dipped with Coral RX.
