I came home today and found all my corals shriveled up like it's night time only to realize that my heater broke. The temp was between 68-70 for over 10 hours. I put a new heater in the tank to warm things up but did this cause permanent damage to my corals? My LPS looks the worst. My clams and fish are all ok.

For the archives, just curious how everything did. My guess is most if not all made a full recovery, but I am curious to know.

Thanks. Everything has recovered well and didn't lose anything. Just a bit of a scare. My elegance has opened up like it used to but I'm sure in time it will be back to normal.

This just happened to my tank for 18hrs down to 61F, and my friends tank for 3 days at 64F. All of my stuff didn't even seem phased by it, sps, lps, and softies. My friend lost almost everything except zoas and some of the hardy sps. Seems like low temp damage depends highly on exposure time vs high temp which seems to damage coral much faster.
