My O clowns laid eggs today! The pic of them is pretty bad. I'll try and get a better one later. They've been together in our 29 gal for about 15 months. Time to do some research and see if by the next batch we can raise some babies. ;D

Congrats on the eggs.;D Don't be suprised if they eat the eggs the first few times-if they just started to spawn. Some times the male doesn't know what to do so he eats them.If they are happy DON'T change anything in their setup or they will stop laying. The good news is they should start to lay every 10 to 20 days.I currently have about 10 fry left from my spawn 16 days ago, the bad news for me is I had a coral start to RTN so I removed it. My clowns haven't laid any eggs since the hatch.
I'm tagging along for the ride.

Thanks for the info Doylef4i! Any advice on keeping them alive? It sounds like you may have it down.

By no means do I have it down. The fry I have now are only the second batch I have tried to raise.I have gotten a lot of help from others in the marine hobby. There is alot of info on Mofib.com.Keep in mind that what works for one person might not work for others. It is kind of a trial an error. If you are serious about trying to raise the fry the biggest piece of addvice I can offer at this point is get some rotifers and start raising them and practice getting their density up to a nice level. This will give you lots of food for the fry when they hatch.Research is also very important.Since they laid eggs in your tank I would just leave them in there and let the parents raise the eggs till hatch night then remove the fry after hatch with a bowl/cup and a flashlight or a larval snagger. For the very small amount of fry I still have left I still have to put in alot of effort to maintain them.Keep in mind it can really be alot of work.
