i have a orcellalris clown fish ive had for 2 years now its been in its new tank for about 2 weeks now coming from a 20 gallon to a 55. what worries me is that the fish has not moved out of its spot yet. it just stays in the corner of the tank and moves up and down the side. it seems weird to me that he only stays in that spot. right now that is the only fish i have that made it when i moved houses. other than that i have some small reef hermits a couple of snails a peppermint shrimp and a black long spine sea urchin. should i be concerned about the fish.

This may seem like a crazy question but is your new tank cycled? How did you acclimated it to the new tank? Or if you did everything right it may just be a little shy right now..... It is in a new home.

My two Davinci Clowns live in a corner of my tank and have been there since they were introduced about 8 months ago. They come out and up at feeding times but other than that their little piece of the tank they live in. It's upsetting because they are on the side of a hallway and not my main display side, what's one to do.

They are just doing what they do in the wild.I am sure it freaks them out to A. Not have an anemone to hide in and B. live singly. If they werent so hardy the would probably have a heart attack.:(

Has this clown been paired before? Reason I'm asking is if you do add another you would want it to be the same type. But if your clown is sexually mature, as it more than likely is, you would want to add a non-sexually mature clown. Reason being, if you have two female Clowns together they will fight. You want one that is a male.... But in my opinion, yes I would add another clown.

You want to add a very small immature clown but even that does not guarantee success.
