Clown acting strange.

Okay, I know saying my Clowns are acting strange is kind of like saying "my cat sleeps a lot". But anyway, they are constantly rubbing up against rocks and twitching like something is irritating them. They have no spots, are eating fine, are not swimming with their pectoral fins held in and besides the rubbing and twitching seem fine.

Nothing has changed in the tank for the past two weeks and besides being a little low on calcium (400) my water parameters are all fine.

Any ideas anyone?

 

They should be good unless they are actually damaging their skin when they rub the rocks. Sounds more to me like their trying to show each other how good they are at cleaning house and playing the mate. Are they rubbing rocks randomly or do they have a favorite spot?

 

It seems to be mainly two specific areas that they are doing it in. I haven't noticed any skin abrasions, but then again it's not like they sit still to be examined either.

 

You'll see it if the abrasions get bad enough. If it's mainly two spots in the tank i'm thinking their trying to find their favorite spot.

 

Well...I remember my clowns behaving like that.
At first I was afraid a bit.
But then everything just went OK.
I think this was a particular period.
