    ok i really should not be spending more money on the tank at this time. but i seen this and it was a must have. there was another i wanted also but had to control my self some. just wanted to share to ease the guilt. :p tell me its ok. lol ...tell me you understand
    i think i have a reef problem. LOL

    i love the coloration, i know exactly what you mean, i just uprgaded my lights for a clam. what kind is it?

    thanks. i feel better now :)

    upgraded the lights for a clam. is there such a thing as A clam. oh now your in trouble. lol thanks its maxima. i was told by the place i bought it from it will open more than pictured that its often hard to get a picture because the clams close when you go over top of them to get the picture. so im hoping it opens more as they said :)

    Yes it looks to be a Maxima,

    I would be very hard pressed to pass that clam up, it's beautiful.

    I believe they are referred to as either Fijian or Tahitian Maxima, they have the broader body and usually very intense greens and pinks.

    The green sold me, and the image does not even show the mantel fully extended.

    yes i believe its Tahitian Maxima. i agree the teal coloring is pretty on it. and did you say pink! there are pink clams? oh thats a must have.

    Here are a few of mine: The big fellow in the second pic is actually pink not green but I dont know why he looks like that.

    Yes I see pink ones every once it a great while. I had a terrible addiction to clams a couple years back. They are so beautiful and the fact that they suck up nitrates is an added bonus.
