Ok...you guys are very experienced...more so than me...and this is probably a silly question but here goes....
Everything I have read states that I should never try to put 2 pygmy Angel fish in the same tank. Well....after being told I couldn't....I did it.
I have had a Half Black Angel in my tank for almost a year. While at the LFS, I spotted a Red Flame Angel which I absolutely was determined I was not leaving the store without. Since I have more than one salt tank, I figured I could always move him to another tank if I couldn't get the two to get along.
I took my fish home and put it in the tank. At first there was some arguing and fighting among the 2 fish. Then all of a sudden, within 5 minutes, they were swimming together. They have been together for about 2 months now and not only live in the same tank peacebly, but you do not see one of them without the other one next to it. They play together, eat together, and travel the rocks looking for food. They are very seldom more than 5 inches apart and have become the best of friends.
My question is....since the hard part is over and they have reached a mutual understanding, is it possible to breed the pair and end up with a banch of Half Black Flame Angels. If so, how would I go about getting them to breed? Has anyone had any success in breeding Hybrid Pygmy Angels?
I know the fish community frowns on Hybrids and I do not want them to sell. But I would love to have some of the Hybrids babies in my tank. Thanks in advance for the info.

I got pictures of my fish this morning swimming around. The picture with the rocks is the place they seem to be guarding. The Half Black was dancing this morning and the Red Flame was chasing the Clown and the Firefish that got close to their pile of rocks.

I don't think it's possible to breed these, but I could be wrong. Do you even know the sex of each fish?

    Ok....so i'm a doof...and still learning

OK....so I'm a doof...and still learning. I'm sorry, I posted this question yesterday but I think I put it in the wrong thread. I will repost my question with the right thread and see what happens.
I bought a Half Black Angel who has been living happily in my tank for about a year. Two months ago, I added a Red Flame Angel. I know, I know, not compatable.... Well, after expressing their opinion of each other, within 5 minutes, the were getting along. Nowadays, they are almost inseparable and this morning I discovered they were very defensive of some of the rocks in my tank and my Firefish found it out.the hard way...they nearly knocked the crap out of him. Has anyone heard of breeding the two? Is it possible? Any success in breeding Pygmy Angels? Is this as odd as I think it is?

No, I don't. I don't even know how to tell the sexes on Angels. I know they love each other tho as they are always together. The only thing I could tell you is that I'm pretty sure they are not both males as I think one of them would have been a goner by now.
