    What I though was just diatoms in the sand bed has now turned slimy and has bubbles. Someone mentioned what this is in a thread I creates the other day but I don't remember what it was called. How do you get rid of it!!

    Increase flow. Increase water changes by smaller more frequent changes.

    Should I point the power head right on the sand. I did a water change this past Saturday.

    increase the flow to that area - don't point it so that sand blows all over :)
