good news: fish is still eating. not as much as he usually does but at least he still comes out for nibble
bad news: the fish shop didnt have any cleaner shrimps but will get them in tomorrow. i called another 4 shops, none had them cept 1 and he said they wouldnt help :S

how much did everyone buy their shrimp for? they sell it for 130austrlian bucks here, which is really expensive, but from what i heard in other threads everyone says a shrimp is cheap?

at least he is still eating so hopefully he won't go to fishy heavan just yet >_<

Paid $25 USD for a medium size (1-1/2 to 2 inch) or 4-5 cm skunk cleaner shrimp.
I've seen them cost up to $50 in some other shops. I guess it depends on the market price and availability.
You could get a fire/blood red cleaner shrimp instead, but they generally cost more and are more shy than the skunk cleaner shrimp.

    $130 aus:confused:

That is nuts...must be other LFS in country a little more honest considering you are much closer to source then we are.

Usually between $15 and $25 here. Never more.

Make a quick trip up North and collect a few of your own...or better yet combine with a much needed trip to Bali...;D

:( yeah i thought it must have been very overpriced >_<
1 shop selling for 125, the other for 130 .. i don't think they come much cheaper around where i am :( hopefully my new shrimp friend will be worth it though !

i have been suggested other treatments to use which are not copper based, which i can put directly in my tank. they say it is tank safe.

one is called 'burdenet' and the other is called 'protomarine coral' (i don't know if it is spelt correctly btw)
has anyone used these specific ones, and are these non copper based treatments which can be used in tanks directly a good idea?

THANKS AGAIN ! i really really do appreciate you guys for replying and helping me out !!
