I have a few birdsnest colonies that are looking so hot. I just got a new bucket of salt on Tuesday and did a water change on Wednesday. My parameters were checked yesterday and they are as follows:
    Salinity 1.024
    Alk 8.0 dKH
    Cal 370 mg/L
    NO3 0 mg/L
    pH 7.8

My birdsnest is the first of my sps to visually react to alk swings. It's my canary in the coal mine.

I think it's a magnesium issue. Unfortunately I don't have a test kit and neither does the fish store I was just at.
