So, as I have mentioned, I am taking over a fish only tank at my work. Right now, it's a pretty bare bones setup, including the light. My question is whether the light it has, a 24" version of the Aquaticlife EDGE LED fixture would be enough to keep soft and/or lps corals? I'm not really trying to keep sps at this time. It appears it may be on the lower kelvin level, but that's ok for now. I know it is not ideal, but let me know your opinions. I have other things I plan on doing to the tank before potentially replacing the lighting, but it would be nice to know if I could keep some corals in the interim.

It doesn't give the wattage per diode on the site there (which usually is a bad sign) so i calculated it from their site and it seems this only has 0.5 watt diodes which isn't going to have very good par. I think LPS would not do well and you may have trouble with some softies.

It's fine for a fish only but I honestly would not put a coral underneath that light.

I played with one briefly over a 40 breeder with some soft coral in it, and they seemed pretty happy. That said, I didn't walk away from that with much confidence in it growing hard corals.
