What about just FW dipping the infected rock? Would the aiptasia not try to remove itself and run?

I went to the Doctors office and actually got a syringe with a small needle on it, so when it retracts, you can stabd it good and inject it. I used the real syringe with regular Kent Marine Liquid Calcium, and a few pepparmint shrimps. Problem solved.

Anybody else try FW dipping? With what success? Will this kill the other things on my rock?

I've never heard of a fresh water dip killing aiptasia. And yes, a freshwater dip will kill most if not all of the bacteria on the rock. Seeing as I don't know what other stuff you have on the rock, I can't say whether or not a freshwater dip will kill it.

I've killed a bunch of Aptasia but I never tried to stick one- if you manage to break them you could get a whole new crop- if you gently release your mix right next to them in the water column they will try to eat it and that is usually that!

I stuck a super glue gel nozzle in the hole of one and squeezed a little gel into the hole, held it for a few seconds, pulled it out and the anemone came out with it.

Instead of trying to inject them per box directions, I just fed some of the big ones my original stuff and, knock on wood, they are starting to look pretty funky. The little ones retreated when I tried to feed them, however. I think the pressure of the stream of juice spooked them.
So how about those peppermint shrimp? Since my LFS was the place where I bought my aiptasia-infected rock and less-than-effective protein skimmer, I was thinking of going to liveaquaria.com on this one. I have bought a couple of fish there and had a good experience. How many should I get for a 55 gal tank? 1 or 2 or more?

You can keep an unlimited amount of peppermint shrimp as long as you don't have so many that they're competing for food or space.

I've never had any success with P-Shrimp but know many people who swear by them. I read somewhere that Aptasia have the ability to reproduce 400 times in 24 hours. So once you have one you will have more. The best thing to do is deal with them as you see them and every day after that until they are gone. What ever means you use.

Have you found JJ is very clumpy lately and hard to even draw into the seringe? What have you done to fix this?
