So my lfs had a 2.5" Squamos for $40, I think I got a good deal? I have only had Maximas in the past so I am super excited to try a new specimen. Does anybody have any tips for placement/feeding/lighting/etc? I have placed it on the sand bed with medium flow under 400watt 1400K MH. Here are some pics!
PS dosing Kent liquid calcium daily along with essential elements and iodine weekly. [IMG]

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Congrats, wonderful addition.

Under that lighting I would keep the clam where it is as long as flow is good, not too much.

Only dose what you test for.

    40.00 was a good deal.

Growth rate really depends on what you keep your big 3 at. I have had 3/4 of an inch of growth in one year but I image they can grow even faster.

Good buy. Keep the calcium and magnesium in check with good lighting and your squamosa will grow quickly. My squamosa is my fastest growing clam.
