Hey everyone, im gearing up for a 90 gallon tank and wanted to put my equipment list out there to see if theres nething anyone would buy differenty. Ive had a few tanks in the last 3 years but never a "dream tank". Heres the list of stuff i have aquired and plan on buying in the coming months:

90 gallon all-glass mega flow aquarium (blue painted on backround)
    all-glass mega flow plumbing kit
2 little fishies phosban 150 reactor
marineland mini jet 606 for phosban reactor
    tunze single controller 7091
    tunze nanostream 6055
    tunze nanostream 6045
    tunze nanostream 6025
    Aqua medic 36" Oceanlight T5 Combo 36” 2x250 HQI + 2x39W Black or 48" Oceanlight T5 Combo
2x250 HQI + 2x54W Black (not sure of size 36" or 48" because light is going into a custom canopy, 36" unit will allow more air flow and breathability for the unit with the fans on each side of the pendant having the 5-6" gap on both sides.)
Two 106 cfm ac fans for the canopy
250 watt marineland aquarium systems stealth heater
Reefkeeper 2 controller with ph probe
    Eheim 1262 universal return pump
Aqua ultraviolet UV sterilizer (25watts or 57watts, was thinking 57 watts in case when the unit gets dirts the xtra wattage is still sterilizing like it should without constant cleaning)
    Magnavore 2ER glass cleaner
    Schuran jetstream pico calcium reactor
Sump is still undecided, either home made or a euro-reef 135 sump
Skimmer as of now is between Euro-reef RS135 & a Aqua medic Turboflotor 5000 shorty
    Geo Kalkwasser reactor 618
Aqua Medic Reefdoser RD2 twin pump for kalkwasser and just to have a spare doser
The stand and canopy is a custom build from my local fish store. Canopy is extra high for the use of metal halides. Stand and canopy is black with silver hardware. I will have to take a picture and post one stand & canopy is complete in 2 weeks.

Im sure there will be more additions as far as equipment goes but i wanted to run the list by everyone to see if there was anything someone would change or if they had good/bad experience with anything on the list.

    Thanks in advance
    Dennis

Hey everyone, yeah its is a slow process...costs alot. I already have a spectrapure RO maker and a variety of test kits. Id like auto evaporation top off but the distance from the basement sink where its hooked up to the room the tank will be in is quite far. I have a long way to go but maybe i can throw pics up as i accumilate more stuff. Must have spent 2 grand on what i got so far. Its so hard waiting :(

    OK

NI\ice setup but I will suggest some changes ...

Get a PM Bullet 1 for a skimmer along with a Pan World Pump. There is no other skimmer that can come close for the price. (Read around ...)

Get a Sequence Dart and install a manifold closed loop circulation and ditch those UGLY TUNZE (they are over rated and they are for idiots that cant make a closed loop system ! Read A. Calfo for more ..)

Need details on your sump (??) I want to know what you plan there.

Reefkeeper 2 (dont make me puke !)....You are putting a class A++ and going with a RK2 ????? Aquacontroller 3 as a minimum. No questions asked. PCX100 expander, and the rest ... No RK2 crap for this 90G. Go with Gold Standard.

NOW YOU GOT IT BABY !!!!

...I forgot one more importnat thing. Go with a 120g. The differnce between a 90 and 120 is nothing. The 120 will give increased flow, with 24" width.

You will thank me latter ....;D

If you gotta have a UV sterilizer Id go with the Aqua V 40 watt with the wiper.

Hey Jackfrost, thanks for the suggestions. I would love to have the 120 gallon. Its absolutely my favorite tank dimension wise but i dont have the space for the xtra 6 inches in width plus my 800 dollar canopy and stand 80 percent finished and theres no turning back now. I have heard good things about the aqua controller 3 and since u are the 3rd person to suggest one i believe im gonna take your advice. I just did some reading on the unit and man...seems like the thing even has a fart detecting probe on it. Lets see, sump im clueless on...never made one and dont want one that looks homemade and cheesy. Im very meticulous, so design and functionality along with quality and looks is a must. I already have all my tunze pumps, i really like how they work but must agree they are kinda ugly....ill just get the cermic rock inserts to blend them better i imagine. Your skimmer recomendation is interesting, havent heard anything about them...dont wanna end up with something i dont like, ive seen a euro-reef in action and like. Do u know of any sites that i can read up on this skimmer on? Thanks for the ideas and suggestions!
