    I received my mp40 and reef octopus skimmer yesterday I can't wait to see these in action.

    We got the top routed just need to do some prep work on the top seems and will be able to weld it on.

    could you explain what you're doing? I'm not understanding the routing and welding?

    We are working with acrylic and after prepping the edge to be very smooth you butt two pieces together and inject a liquid that causes the 2 seems to soften and weld together as one piece. The routing is done with a router and a flush cut bit it has a barring that rides on the plywood template as it cuts the acrylic underneath.

    oh, I see you're using that piece with the holes as a template? I thought it was the top of a stand lol

    Good work you guys are doing. Wouldn't it be easier flip the tank and use the weight to glue the top onto the tank? Just a thought on a future build.
