40 breeder

I bought 40 gal breeder from Petco on sale. It is Tetra brand. I can't get sure answer from Employees. Sticker is only on the bottom that says tempered. Talking to other Reefers it seams that only bottom is tempered. Do you guys know more about it. I will drill tank on Tuesday. I guess I will find out...

 

don't drill the bottom glass it will shatter.

 

I know about bottom. I want to drill back. I think that should be fine, right?

 

So, what happened when you drilled?

 

I drilled it tonight. But I think I might screw up. I don't know what I was thinking. I might ask about this in different section. I drilled 3- 1 3/4 holes for 1" bulkheads but distance between them is 1 1/2" edge to edge of the hol . Im not sure if that's good enough to keep strength of the glass… Maybe somebody can answer that, please. Is my project done before I even started? ;(

 

I just bought this same tank and would love to follow you while you build this.
