i'd just like to compliment everyone on their beautiful tanks and the diversity in all of them from very expensive equipment to great DIY tanks and all result in beauty and grace. Reefers are very special people and i'm very glad to have been able to learn from all of you. and i thank you all and i plan on stealing alot of your great ideas when i proceed to re-establish my 150.

    Thanks Matt.....
i really hope i made the right choice in not making a "this is my build" video, after seeing all the entries and then seeing the changes people have made since the contest deadline on their redoes, i really considered redoing mine too, but i really thought it was nice to just do a "here is what you get" video ....i hope i made the right choice to stay with a simple video strictly for enjoyment....cuz i have some pretty nice stuff that makes that tank stay so crystal clear. keeping it at 5 minutes was very hard too, i wanted to share the life and movement of the corals since to me that is the part of reed tanks that is so amazing to watch. their grace in movement
omg everytime i think of what i love about corals i get goosebumps .
    lol

    WOW i'm so excited....
someone i don't know voted for my video !!!!!
That proves to me that you don't have to have a million dollar tank or lots of friends to enter one of these contests
maybe others that are just average struggling reefers will enter the next contest...... it can be intimidating to us that don't have all the bells and whistles and thousands of posts
thanks to whoever you are and i'm glad you enjoyed watching my video !!!!

Glad that people are enjoying this contest so much

So true Matt.... My tank is a simple set up tank, HOB, powerheads for water movement, 15 gallon sump(with pink plastic curlers and lava rock instead of bio ball, and full of red macro) full of pods, i control pod population by putting filter fiber between bubble trap glass and letting population grow when it looks depleted, one skimmer i move around between 3 tanks....
nothing fancy but it works and my critters are happy and healthy and my rock gets more purple everyday since my upgrade from the 55(i mixed the purple rock through out the sun bleached rock from my 150 crash)....

but watching all these videos has helped me tremendously in deciding what i want for my upgrade to the 150 after this 75 gallon tank gets good and established, like the algae scrubbers, and reactors and dosing so i can have some of those beautiful corals that i can't have as my system sits
and it's been great to share my tank with other that are into the same hobby... here in Alabama Reefers are slim... not alot of LFS's or People to trade with, whether it be coral or ideas. For those reasons i rely on 3reefs and all the helpful advice given and am greatful for the heavy sponsorship here that lets me keep up with the latest and greatest. this contest has been a great tool as well as a lot of fun.
thanks to all and to Zetlight for sponsoring such a generous contest!!!
