Sounds great. Are you planning a refrigerant system? And where are you getting the plankton reactor? Are you planning to go dual and have phyto dump into zoo and zoo into the tank?

What's your plan for filtration and what skimmer do you intend to use? Also, you may want to reconsider your wave box, NPS seem to do best in a more laminar flow environment. Doing a NPS build of this size is going to take a lot planning. Filtration alone is going to be very interesting. Many of the builds in the 65 gallon range are doing up to 5-10 gallon water changes daily. What's your plan to handle this?

 

i have the guys from capistrano reef helping me get equipment, im thinking AquaMaxx EcoMaxx EM200 In-Sump Protein Skimmer on every 6hrs to suspend the food density.i will be running biopelets, kalk if needed, carbon and vodka dosing. i will have a pump leading to a 10 gallon aquarium taking 5 gallons a day

 

I wouldn't recommend that skimmer for a standard 180g SPS tank, there is no way it's going to be enough for a true NPS build. With the amount of foods you will need to broadcast you are going to need something much much bigger... I'm looking at downdraft skimmers that are rated up to 1500 gallons for my 40b NPS build to give an example.

For the balanophyllia and the tubastrea your plan sounds ok. But if you are serious about Gorgs, or any soft coral NPS, then you are going to have to completely revamp your plan from the ground up. The LPS style non-photosynthetics can handle daily feeding or even weekly feeding and be just fine. Gorgs and soft NPS are going to take multiple daily feedings to sustain and will blow that filtration plan away.

Also I would worry about the flow plan, many NPS occur naturally on cliffs where water pushes down over them in a very laminar pattern and many of these creatures have adapted to capturing food in this manner.

 

if so what skimmer do you recommend and how wuld i create the flow your taking about
