Hey guys i have a 130g 54x24x24" 2yr+ old tank, the silicone cracks and bubbles were noticed a year back, iv never had any leakages till now, but since i was a bit afraid, i braced all the 4 sides of the tank on the outside, i didnt care if it looks ugly as i covered them with black tape.
It was a fw planted tank, now im converting it into reef.
Id like to know which of these options would be best:
tear the tank apart and rebuild (expensive as ill have to hire an lfs guy to do it) scrape of the extra silicone on the sides and bottom on the inside and resilicone it using bottom braces on the inside or if it wont be any issue, then can continue to convert to reef without doing any of the above stuff.
    Here are some pics:

Re siliconing a tank is not difficult but there are a few things to remember. Always use silicone that does not have any additives such as GE 1. Bath and tile stuff has chemicals that are not good. New silicone will not stick to old silicone so remove all the old stuff. I would not trust silicone alone to hold together a 130 gallon tank without some type of bracing. I made that mistake with a 220 and after $12,000 in damage to my house, a lesson was learned! I had filled it and tested it for a week prior to setting it up inside. After 3 weeks inside it let loose. Good luck!

Iv currently not done any changes, as many are suggesting if no leak then dont bother, keep it as it is. So i braced on the outside on the bottom 2 sides and all 4 sides, i dont care if it looks ugly.
