I recently inherited 2 fish tanks. The first one which I have up and running with 2 young fancy guppies GloFish 1.5 Gallon Aquarium Kit at PETCO and the only thing I added was an air stone and some plastic plants. The second tank is what I believe to be a 2 gallon Hagen that came with an Elite Mini A-130 Amazon.com: Hagen Elite Underwater Mini Filter, UL Listed: Pet Supplies filter system. The Hagen has a nice crack on the back pane, which has been repaired and lasted 48 hours without leaking. I was thinking of setting up the Hagen and cycling it and possibly adding guppies as my 20g is getting loaded. Then I may retire the 1.5g or possibly sell it. Thoughts?

I agree lol but this repair job looks pro tho and it did 48 hours with no leaks, it would be covered by gravel anyways.

As long as it holds water you should be good. Just keep a goo eye on the water level in case of leaks ;)

Yeah, I once had a 10 gallon drop from waist height onto my bedroom floor and lets just say it wasn't pretty lol I think this 2g will be awesome with the elite mini a130 filter, probably better then the 1.5g kit I have running right now with 2 young green cobra guppies

The Hagen is more of a normal looking rectangle tank and the crack would be covered by rocks or sand. I tested the a-130 mini last night, the little filter pumps!

I had to stop using the 2g Hagen as the metal lid was rusting and water from moisture was dripping back into the tank. I may start using the 1.5g for a guppy fry tank
