Zeovit System

I have been doing some research on a lot of KZ's products and am thinking about taking the plunge and ordering a few of these "Magical Blue Bottles" but first I wanted to see what you guys have to say about this product line.

So my questions for all you Zeovit users out there are as follows

Tank Specs?
Partial or Full Zeovit system?
What do you dose?
How Much?
How Often?
Results?
Pros and Cons?
What works and What doesn't ?
Any Recommendations?

Partial or Full Zeovit system? Full zero
What do you dose? Zeobak about every 3 days 8 drops
Zeostart 2X per day .5ml twice a day. This is about the only one you can put on a dosing pump.. dilute with water.
Zeozyme about one scoop 2X per week and Coral Snow about 1-2ml per day.
Zeofood maybe once a week as I have some cyano so that is not being dosed much now for that reason. I may stop this one and use Phols extra and amino at some point but I need to use up the bottle first.

How Much?
How Often?
Results? As far as coral snow and zeozyme I don't really notice any difference yet. I'm about a month into these products. So undecided. A jar of zeozyme will last me years so I'll just keep doing it.
I am cleaning the glass far less but I'm not sure if it's the basic zeo program or the coral snow/zeozyme that's helping with that.
As for the basic system of zeobak , zeostart and the zeolites it is working as advertised. NO3 & PO4 zero.. Mine wasn't high when I started but I can tell the bacteria is working as it lowered the little bit of nutrients I had. I am liking the control better than biopellets and prodibio. You may be able to do the same thing with vinegar and some bacteria in a bottle but the zeostart is proprietary so hard to tell what the real mixture is.. It's believed to be a mix of vinegar and sugar.
I am getting polyps and color on a couple corals that were mysteriously permanently pale. I did a red planaria treatment about the time I started the system so it's unclear how much that helped. .. or if the zeolites are absorbing some unknown toxins. .. Possibly too aggressive on the carbon. as I was using ROX carbon and zeovit system using less aggressive carbon in a bag. No one knows exactly what the zeolites absorb. It's believed they possibly absorb ammonia.. I hope they absorb some choramine if it makes it through my RO/DI. People well into the system do report that after the stones expire they can tell by looking at their corals.
Overall tank is looking much better.

I used a whole bottle (the little bottle ) of their cyano stuff and it didn't really do anything. But I ran out and they say it could take weeks so I'm kinda not really following the directions.
Pros and Cons?
No need for GFO.
Water is crystal clear.. same as any other carbon dose routine.
I haven't noticed any bacterial blooms. I was getting some white and dark stringy bacteria with biopellets. I had red cyano before I started and it's still there. I like adding the zeobak drops vs. prodibio you have to use the whole vial every two weeks or use their dripper system. And then you would have to use your own carbon source or their biotim/clean.. it aint' a cheap system either.
A person could conceivably use the zeobak with vinegar/sugar and maybe have same results for a partial zeo system.
What works and What doesn't ? Not using zeospur yet as it is for when things are well established but I hear it works great. I would try it now but my corals are in recovery mode from a flatworm exit treatment that went wrong. Polhs extra get's high marks.
The basic four of course do work.
Any Recommendations? They have a big sale once or twice a year on this stuff with 40% off. Not sure when the next is but there was one in January.
The zeovitusa website has cheaper shipping and free shipping at the $100 mark.
Stick with the guide not what it says on the bottles.. The directions on the bottles are usually way too much.

Probably best to use a salt like instant ocean instead of the higher alk salts.. You'll want to run natural sea water parameters so it matches well.
The korallen zuch carbon is crazy expensive and I hear the Seachem matrix carbon is a good substitute. I just ordered some.
I got a good deal on a used Korallen Zuch 2L reactor. I never used the Vertex so I can't compare but I will say this one is very nice. It's my understanding this one is much easier to pump.
There's a lot to keep track of with the schedules so I bought the Aquarimate app to remind me of when it's time to do something.. highly recommend. Much better than the piece of paper I was writing things down on..

Fortunately the Zeovite products are much easier and cheaper to come by then they used to be.

It takes a really dedicated hobbyist to jump into Zeovite and to stick with it.

The pastels of a Zeovite are not every ones cup of tea, I however find a true Zeovite tank stunning and have considered going that route with this tank. I will need a better skimmer, a reactor and more precise testing equipment. Currently I am still mulling it over.
