I recently purchased a yellow tang from my lfs. I realized once I got it home it had a case of blackspot. I have given him a fresh water dip 3 times except for this evening which would have been the forth. After the second dip I believe it was, the black spots were no longer visible. However, he has little white frills that ar about half the size of a grain of rice coming off his fins in a few spots. This is even after the thrid dip. Is this the mature form of the blackspot? Also, noticed little white prikles on the side of his body which may be mature forms too. I have stopped the dips b/c I did not want to stress him out anymore, but it seems given the white stuff that I am seeing that he may still be infected. I do not have a qt tank so my options are limited and he is currently housed in my refugium for my main system. Any ideas on how to get rid of these buggers? Thanks so much.
