Urgent Wrasse breathing heavy.

    Rosie scales died like a month ago. Went out few weeks later got a male solarensis wrasse.

    Today find him breathing heavy and lethargic. (Same thing happened with rosy scales).Swims away when i move rock he is under.
    No signs of disease or anything.

    125gal 60gal sump/refugium.

    Large kole tang
    2 clowns
    Engineer goby
    1 chromis
    2 mandarins
    2 dwarf angels

    78deg temp
    New ro filters few weeks ago
    Brs carbon
    Spectrum thera a pelets and 6 different types of frozen food. 1 cube a day+some pellets.

    Only little but of algae on glass. All other fish doing great.

    Any wrasse specific diseases?

    somehow increase 02 in the tank....add an air bubbler and increase surface agitation....I'm sure others will know about a specific illness causing it hopefully...

    I have an air bubbler i can throw in the sump. Will do that now. Yea hopefully someone can chime in :/ my favorite fish :(

    Wrasses usually hide when stressed or threatened.I would advise against moving rocks around.You will just make matters worse.
    Disease is always a possibility with new additions and some of your other fish may be harassing it.:-/

    It has been doing fine for a few weeks. No issues gets along with everyone thats why i am thinking disease

    +1 on not moving rocks. Same situation has happened to me. Wrasses can be funny. Leave em be and chances are the stress will minimize and give him a better shot ;)

    I just moved the rock so i could check him over. Wanted to see if any visable lesions or ich or what not. Some stringy white stuff he was pooping out? Weird

    None! Everyone was eating voraciously yesterday and active and normal except my wrasse....

    Well he passed away yesterday. Still no clue why. Second fairy wrasse gone. All other fish doing good and healthy.
