I normally do my 20gal water change every Sat. morning and started thinking of dividing the water changes during the week. For example, a 10gal exchange on Wed. and the other 10gal on Sat. Its alot less work load on Sat. and the tank gets " refreshed " alot sooner then waiting a whole week. I know I havent " re-invented " the wheel or anything, but just wanted some feedback on the subject. Thanks, Luna;D

do you have alot of detrius or algae issues or is it just because you want to.if you do have alot of it then go for it.if not i dont reccomend it.your fish sometimes get stressed out with water changes and snails and other inverts dont like the water change to much.so its on you.

I would say watch your xenia and it will tell you I change out about once a month but I have alot of volume and fuges to filter the water. But your xenia will tell if there is anything wrong if you change your water like that.

No algae issues here, my Kole Tang does a great job on algae control. Just thought of re-freshing the water more frequently than once a week. Im " assuming " its the same , just dividing the gals.

4 years still running is awsome. You are sure doing something right. As long as you replace elements with equipment and dosing you should be ok.
