Will this work (drilled overflow for 10 gallon)

    just ordered a bit and a couple bulkheads from bulk reef supply. should be here by weeks end so I hope to have it all done and pics posted by this weekend.

    Yes you won't get the surface skimming you would get from a overflow box, but I don't think you will want to give up the real estate.

    All of this really depends on what he is trying to keep in the tank. But all of that aside, a 10 gallon with crap hanging all over it is seriously unattractive, I have one right now like that. And I would do a 10 gallon sump just to be able to run everything hidden including the heater and have alot cleaner setup.

    Definitely post pics when you get it done.
