well clam issue of no issue ?

    so for the last year I've wanted a clam in big way but have battled nitrate issues ,for the last 3 months I've had my parameters perfect so i ordered a 5 in ORA Derasa clam got him in today just checked my nitrate at 10 ppm AM I IN TROUBLE ? so frustrated at this point

    about 2 years , and i tested with 2 different kits API and im dot shor of the other brand

    No your not in trouble, nor is your clam :) 10ppm is not terrible. What are you using for filtration and for nutrient export?

    lg protein skimmer , filter sock , i also run phosphate removal media ! the clam is looking good wide open , but must admit im rookie when it comes to clams !

    nitrates are fine! what you will need to monitor is your calcium more closely. Calcium, mg and kh. Dersa clams are one of the easier ones to keep. One thing is missing......pictures!
