    Ok so Currently this is were I sit
    SG= 1.024
    Temp= 79-81
    NH3/4= 0.0
    NO2= 0.0
    NO3= > 5
    PH 8.3
    Alk= 10dKH
    CA= 300
    I performed a water change of only 10G two nights ago
    my RO/DI water has a CA of 300.
    I added Reef Complete after the water change the recomended dose of 25mLs
    I added Reef Builder last night Recomended dose of one teaspoon.
    Today again I added another 25mLs and the readings above were taken 5 minutes ago.
    I can not seem to get the Ca up to around 400. Any thoughts?

    Thanks
    Jason

    [glow=Blue, 2, 75%]Sounds good, so far, J !!! [smiley=sunny.gif]

    Don't forget the Reef Calcium though.  It is one of the primary ingredients for a "healthy, balanced system."  Your Alk and pH are good, your Ca is around 300, Reef Calcium, with it's polygluconated complexed Calcium takes another pathway into the tank (bio-availability -- remember??). [smiley=stars.gif]

    Get some Reef Calcium and after you dose it two or three times this week, tell me what your Ca is then... [smiley=thumbs_up1.gif][/glow]

    Edit : Fixed two errors for clarity... [smiley=square.gif]

    Looks a whole lot like mine, Jakets !!! I think I have one more Reef Complete in there than you do, but that's about it.

    Yours should work like a champ !!! Happy dosing !!!

    Give it another 4 or 5 days before calling in the "Seachem Chemistry Patrol" <--- Me. It looks like you need a few days of regular dosing just to settle down. I could be wrong, but I think it will clear up on it's own.

    At any rate, nothing is in danger while we wait...

    Ya I didn't think it was too bad for only one week. I'm about to do a water change. My question is should I bring the Ca and Alk up in the change water or just leave it.
    My make up water has a Ca of 300 and a alk of 8.0

    Update after 10 Days with regular Seachem schedule

    SG = 1.025
    Temp = 79-82
    NH3/4 = 0.0
    NO2 = 0.0
    No3 = > 2
    PH = 8.2 LOW
    ALK = 9.6dKH or 3.43 Meq/l
    CA = 420

    I can only see a little problem with PH Seachem products should buffer PH at 8.3 but at this time I am sure my reading is 8.1 or 8.2.

    [glow=Green, 2, 80%]Hey J,

    Are you dosing with the Reef Buffer? It comes in a very small bottle because you don't need much; but it WILL raise your pH. Just be careful with it!![/glow]

    What brand of water testing kit is popular now days? Currently i'm using the marine mini-lab test kit by red sea and I don't think it's accurate at all. Anyone having or heard people having problems with this kit?
