    Hello everyone:)

I recently got a second torch (and tonight a third::).... I may be obsessed). I put it a few inches from the first, and it seems to be attacking it. I thought I heard somewhere that someone made a torch garden, and was hoping to do the same. Is this possible, or are they going to sting each other?

In the picture you can see the torch on the right looks a bit funny around some of its tips. Instead of being yellowish/cream some have gotten really dark colored. I don't see any difference in the left torch, but I can't see around the larger torch to be absolutely certain. The only coral anywhere near them is a pipe organ.

    Thanks for the help

There are no hard set rules as it is wildlife, but I'd guess you should be fine, If you can seperate them a bit to allow for growth and just as a test to see if it helps, it may be a good idea. But I love LPS, so much more fun to watch and so much easier;)

I've put every type of euphyllia in touch range of each other and rarely do I see lasting coral warfare. In fact what I usually see are euphyllia taking on traits of it's neighbor such as hammers that touch frogspawns starting to sub-divide their hammer tips and torches do the same. Now I don't know the science behind this but I think it's pretty cool. I've even witnessed color crosses from neighboring colonies.

+1 awesome picture. I wonder if they actually cross-breed or if one just mimics the other to blend in?

I was going to leave them where they were, but I feel bad for the first torch lol. I moved the other one over a bit so they are no longer touching. maybe ill try again another time.

That pic is awesome. Wonder if my new ultra golden torch will "rub" off on its new buddies.... that would be great ^_^

I got a couple more pics that show the damage a bit better. The smaller torch was a bit stung too, but not as bad as the big one.

I agree cosmo- I love LPS. My bf REALLY wants some sps, but I'm hesitant:p
