I don't have good access to books other than ordering online so since I can't actually read a preview other than the few sneek peek pages I don't buy. I spend alot of time reading articles on reefkeeping.com and other articles. I also like the threads on this site, nothing teaches better than 1st hand experience.
This is a good thread though because if someone mentions good reading material it'll at least give me a chance to ask them before I buy.:)

I'm not much of a reader but I am in the middle of an awesome book. "Our Last Chance". A true story about a couple who were sailing from Miami to Hawaii in thier 38' sailboat that gets sunk by whales that attacked them halfway across the open ocean. They then spend 66 days on their life raft with only a few supplies they grabbed as the sailboat was sinking. The coolest part is that the couple that this happened to and who wrote the book were actually family friends of my mother-in-law. They lived right down the street from each other back in the 80's here in Palmetto Bay. But the book is awesome, I highly recommend it to anybody.

I found one that I really like. Might be more of a newbie book, but it covers the entire system setup, livestock, and maintenance.

The Marine Reef Aquarium - Philip Hunt

I assume you're talking about hobby related books/magazines? If you are, Coral Magazine is really good. If you're not, there's a thread here by missionsix about suggested reading materials :)

The Marine Atlas of Aquarium Fish by Dr. Burgess is awesome. Best coffee table book ever, and always interesting. You will never find a real hobbyist that has a new looking copy of that book.
